So, what’s a dentist of 30 years doing making chocolate? It’s a fair question.
My fascination with chocolate began when my daughter and I took a class at a local culinary school. I was immediately drawn to the process—the precision, creativity, and transformation involved in turning chocolate into something both beautiful and delicious.
Chocolate can be wonderfully rewarding and notoriously temperamental. It demands patience, attention to detail, and respect for the process. After decades in dentistry, those requirements felt familiar. The same steady hand and exacting standards I bring to creating healthy, beautiful smiles now guide my work in the chocolate kitchen.
Today, I divide my time between dentistry and SRL Chocolatiers, creating bonbons with carefully considered flavors, distinctive finishes, and meticulous craftsmanship. Each piece is made with care, curiosity, and a genuine love of the process.
And yes—they are much more fun than flossing.
